How to pop a pimple or zit
We all know that we should let our body heal a pimple on its own without popping pimples or zits. But some people absolute refuse to walk around with a bulging zit for the whole world to see. If done properly, popping a pimple can actually be beneficial to the healing process. Use this technique for only pimples that are absolutely begging to be popped - it should be all the way at the surface and white. The best time is after a shower when the skin is supple.

Knowing how to pop a pimple correctly will save you from having to live with and deal with scars.
Squeeze from the sides, around the pimple more than towards the center, using a down and in motion. Be careful not to force it, if the pimple is ready, it'll pop. If it doesn't, leave it be. Be sure to stop if clear fluid or blood starts to come out.
Continuing to work at a lesion that is not ready to be popped can lead to scarring.
Take a deep breath and walk away from the mirror.
It's very important not to attempt to pop deep, painful lesions (cysts and nodules). A better option for these types of lesions is to see a dermatologist who can administer a cortisone injection which will bring down the swelling and potentially reduce or eliminate scarring.
